Ipod classic: cool...or not? by
lattecraxy11 ,
Mar. 23, 2008
- Pros: nice color, 80 gbts
- Cons: if you don't have a macbook it's useless
- Recommended:
Yes
- Has Owned Product: 8 Week(s)
- Comments:
the ipod classic is a nice color and it has 80 gbts. But if you don't have a macbook...oh no. I had a pc and it was awesome. But I wanted a ipod classic so I had to get a macbook. I did a lot of thinking and was upset to get rid of my perfectly good pc. I know that a lot of young people have macbooks. But us oldies are sad to give up our pc's for macbooks.

Apple iPod Classic by
Matthew Sparkes
- Comments:
The iPod touch might be the one grabbing headlines, but Apple has given the entire iPod range a thorough shake-up. There's no longer any such thing as a straight iPod - what would be referred to as the 6th-generation iPod is now the iPod classic. The nano

- Review Verdict:
Both players have their strong points, but the best feature remains the simple interface and excellent design.

Apple iPod Classic by
Derek Fung
- Pros: Huge storage (who really has 40,000 songs?);Good value;Anodised aluminium front feels like quality;Video and photos are bright and clear;Interface looks even slicker than ever
- Cons: marred by hard disk lag issues;Sound quality still, at best, mediocre;Cover Flow a case of form over function;New accessories required for video out
- Comments:
apple ipod classic review: The name suggests more of the same but with more space and better value. Hard disk lag issues, video out controversy and just okay sound stop it from being a true classic though.

Apple iPod Classic Review

Gundeep Hora
- Comments:
, and needless to say, we came away impressed with the latest carnation of the iPod family. Apple is too good at what it does, and it shows. Today, we have the iPod Classic in our lab, and unfortunately, we don't know what to write about. Yes, it's a rari

Complaints about the restrictive file format support, volume level and games compatibility aside, if you're in the market for a high-capacity music and video player the iPod Classic should be high on your shortlist. Its years at the top of the MP3 player

Review: Apple iPod classic by
Online Shopper
- Pros: The iPod classic is just like the Video iPod, only slimmer, tougher, and injected with a more visually rich graphic user interface.
- Cons: Video output requires a proprietary cable; audio quality has not improved; some older iPod video accessories may not be compatible; users are required to use the latest version of iTunes, which may not work on some older computer systems.
- Comments:
Apple's latest iPod may sport a new user interface, a slimmer profile and a maximum onboard capacity of up to 160GB, but is it worth the upgrade? Our review has the ...

Gadgets That Keep Going and Going and Going by
Tim Gideon
- Pros: Tons of storage. Improved interface. "Classic" iPod controls. Easy navigation.
- Cons: Cover Flow is a bit slow. Bundled earbuds aren't great.
- Comments:
Meet the new iPod. It looks familiar, huh- That's because Apple's iPod classic is essentially a replacement for the iPod video, or fifth-generation iPod. The main improvement here is storage space-what was once a 30GB or 80GB player now comes with 80GB of
...
- Review Verdict:
As its name suggests, not much has changed on the iPod classic-it looks a little different on the outside, and there's a useful, but not radical, interface update. The big news is the massive capacity upgrade.
